There maybe compression artifacts @ccecil1985 (your file sizes are great but a little bit higher bitrate wouldn't hurt) But I believe this does have more detail then others This scene here for example(probably best in motion as it's not visible here ) you can see the hair's of her midsection, thats completely missing in most Upscales due to Noise Reduction Good work ccecil1985
yeah I don't use noise reduction unless I absolutely have to. as far as bitrate goes, I set them all to the same as 1080p iTunes purchases so they won't take up too much space on my phone.
I see, that's good I hate it when its overdone or done when it's not need But a phone is probably not the best target device to base a remaster on but I understand because that probably why you do them for anyway But I do think it should be a per video basis, some videos like your O-Town video are fine, but videos like your Christina Aguilera - Dirty you can see the bitrate struggling with the what's going on in some scenes You can get better quality at lower sizes with H-265 Unless the iPhone doesn't support that codec.
Dirrty was already like that. It wasn't great quality to begin with. I don't know how they made her DVD but for some reason only the first 3 videos were like perfect quality. Once you get to the 4th, you start seeing dotcrawl, rainbow noise and white static blocks at the top. Also Dirrty is the only video with audio originally in mono and I had to put the CD stereo version over it.
I did original type that as a possibility for it but removed it to shorten the post But really Mono? that's terrible for an official release
